Danger: The goal of writing horror fiction is to make the reader feel scared or terrified. Psychedelic horror, in which the protagonists’ thoughts cause them to freak out, and other forms of supernatural horror involving monsters, ghosts, or other horrific things are common. The goal of writing horror fiction is to terrify the reader by delving into themes of evil, the unknown, and darkness.
